I&I SOUND SYSTEM

THE ORIGINAL MOBILE SOUND SYSTEM
Featuring AURELITO & SHAKESPEARE

Aurelito and Shakespeare, operators of the Los Angeles based mobile sound system, joined forces in the mid '90s to form I&I Sound. Aurelito, originally from the Philippines and Jamaica born Shakespeare, meditated upon the concept of building an original mobile sound system. Their backgrounds and love for creativity in music and arts helped to guide them towards their mission, to spread love by bringing music directly to the people.? The two fully restored a barely running 1969 ice cream truck and crowned her "Destiny". They customized it with turntables, amps and speakers, knowing that music is a universal vibration that should literally move you. Their plan was to drive Destiny to every barrio, ghetto, suburb, valley, town and city in the west coast broadcasting their musical flavors. The dynamic duo have been spreading positive vibrations far and wide setting up at outdoor concerts and festivals, private parties, film and art openings,? events, street corners, parks and schools throughout the land.

NEXTAID AT ELECTRIC DAISY CARNIVAL

Electric Daisy Carnival is proud to support NextAid, the dance music community’s response to the African AIDS orphan crisis. "Using the beats of our generation to provide hope for the next" - NextAid continuously teams up with leaders in the dance music community such as DJ Dan, Miguel Migs, OM Records, Dubspot, Remix Magazine, and others, to make a difference in kids' lives. Please visit NextAid’s booth in the vendor village to learn more, donate, and buy cool gear. NextAid is currently building a center in South Africa to help children orphaned by AIDS and to use as a model for ecologically sustainable practices. Help the kids, help the planet, help NextAid. Drop a donation in the buckets at the DJ booths, concession stands and the NextAid booth. Thanks from NextAid and Insomniac!
