Thank You Los Angeles!!!

Wow. Last night was a truly epic event - we're a bit short on words right now, but just want to give everybody who came out a massive THANK YOU for supporting Electric Daisy Carnival and Insomniac Events. Seeing everybody getting down and having fun last night was an amazing experience and we hope everybody enjoyed themselves to the fullest.

We would also like to express our deepest apologies for lines to get inside the event yesterday. The duration of the wait outside the gates is something we will never allow to happen again. We would like to sincerely thank everybody who maintained their patience and calm attitudes to get admitted to EDC. Once again, Insomniac thanks everybody who came to EDC for being so patient outside the event and maintaining such positive attitudes. If there's any other issues you'd like to make us aware of, feel free to share your thoughts by emailing us. We appreciate your commments and suggestions, they're an essential element of our mission to produce the best events possible.

Boys Noize Will Not Be Performing at EDC :(

We are very sorry to let everyone know that due to extreme illness and doctor's orders not to travel, Boys Noize will not be performing at Electric Daisy Carnival. From his hospital bed in Norway, Alex from Boys Noize sent us this announcement to pass along to everybody:

Hi Fans and Friends,
I am very sorry to let everyone know I will not be playing at Electric Daisy Carnival this Saturday. I have become very ill and am under doctor's orders to not travel and instead stay in bed. I feel extremely bad about missing the event and I promise I'll be coming back to L.A. soon. My humblest apologies to everyone who was looking forward to seeing me perform. Have fun at Electric Daisy Carnival and I'll hopefully see everyone in LA soon!

Sound Investment, Divine-Lab debut Funktion-One Sound System at EDC

Insomniac has partnered with Sound Investment and Divine-Lab to present the West coast debut of the 150,000-watt Funktion-One Resolution 5 sound system! Funktion-One is well-respected in the area of sound systems and we want to make sure all attendees at Electric Daisy Carnival enjoy the music to the fullest. The Resolution 5 system will be located in the Kinetic Field and is guaranteed to raise the bar for quality sound at SoCal dance music events for years to come!

Exclusive Evol Intent Mini-Mix for EDC!

Evol Intent, one of the top stateside Drum & Bass acts, have dropped an exclusive mini-mix in anticipation of their appearance at this year's Electric Daisy Carnival. Chock full of unreleased tunes from themselves and other bits from likeminded producers, this mix should give you a good idea of what's in store for next Saturday. Electric Daisy Carnival also marks the first time Evol Intent are bringing their brand new 3-member live show to the West Coast. They'll be performing in the Neon Garden from 9:00pm - 10:00pm, so make sure to come check out their live set as they throw down for SoCal!

EDC Is Only Two Weeks Away!

The Insomniac offices are buzzing around the clock as we gear up for this year's Electric Daisy Carnival! June 28th is less than two weeks away now and we're all working like crazy to make sure this year's event is one for the record books. Here's a little taste of things we have in store:

Just Announced: Eddie Halliwell Added to EDC Lineup!!

We're happy to announce that the legendary Eddie Halliwell has just been added to the Kinetic Field stage at this year's Electric Daisy Carnival! We're very excited to have Eddie on board for EDC and we think everybody will love getting down to his signature trance sound. From his hosting duties on BBC's Radio 1 to his regular residencies on the island of Ibiza, Eddie Halliwell has rocketed to the top of the global dance music scene - most evident in his recent placement at #16 of the 2007 DJ Mag's Top 100 Poll.
